ABOUT
US
The Support for Network
and Extension Help Agency (SNEHA) is an
organisation dedicated to improving the living conditions
of the poor and vulnerable in rural Southern India. The
Agency was formed in 1999 by a group of like-minded professionals
with a common interest in promoting rural development in
their local areas.
Our
Mission:

To facilitate the process of development
and growth in rural communities by effectively and sustainably
utilising both human and natural resources within the
community.

To work towards favourable changes
for the rural poor by creating a network of institutions.

To enhance participative planning,
implementation and monitoring through people institutions.
Our
Objectives:

A network between various Development
Agencies with the common objective of empowering the
poor in India.

Support for the poor and vulnerable
in order to improve their economic status, natural resource
management, education, health and sanitation.

Social mobilisation to build and
strengthen people’s organisations and assist in
the training and capacity building of organisations
at various levels.
- Improvements in the existing credit delivery system
in order to empower the underprivileged sections of society,
particularly in rural areas.
