ACHIEVEMENTS
Since 1999 SNEHA has reached and improved the lives of
over 2,000 people of southern India’s poorest people.
Working closely with local communities, (institutions) SNEHA
has supported the setting-up and development of 145 Self
Help Groups (SHGs), and has helped to establish number of
income Generating schemes, both within and outside the SHGs.

The promotion of medicinal plants in the back gardens of
the poor families is another initiative which SNEHA is just
beginning to promote. These plants can be used to contribute
to the medicinal needs of poor families, with any surplus
