Herbal plant, Andrographis
has been introduced in Sathiyamangalam taluk as pilot project
in collaboration with Grama Mooligai Company from Madurai.
So for, 10,000,00 seedlings were raised and distributed
to farmers. After the crop the harvest, based on the yield
and impact, further it will be supported small and marginal
farmers in the area.
A two day workshop has been organised for 36 farmers, in
collaboration with KVK Erode district, to create awareness
of cultivation practices of herbal plants. This was very
much appreciated by the farmers and the Chief Training Officer
KVK.
