Parents Teachers Associations: Number of parents and teachers associations were
strengthened through meeting and training sessions. This has helped the associationsto understand their responsibilities in their children’s education, also improved their
relationship to run the schools effectively. Also, career guidance programme for SSLC
students from rural areas has been organised. This has helped the rural children to
analyse their capacity for and decide about further studies as per their interest and
vision. In addition, primary and middle school children’s competitions were organised on
drawing, Sports, Speech and Quiz in the programme area. This has helped the children
to improve their confident on extra curricular activities. Formed school committees
among the school children to maintain the cleanliness and improve the better hygiene
practices.
SNEHA has started a education bridge centre for 50 school dropout children at Palar
village and actively involved in awareness raising and training of SHGs on SHG concept,
causes and consequences of child labour and economic development activities.
